Summertime Backyard Wedding in Vermont
When the bride’s parents own a picturesque apple orchard in Old Bennington, Vermont, the choice to have a backyard wedding is an easy one. The couple applied the theme of trees to many aspects of their July wedding, and they even planted a tree together – with their parents alongside – the day before their wedding. A nice touch is that they finished the planting during their ceremony as a symbolic gesture in front of family and guests.
The decor stayed within a soft, summery palette of various pinks and peaches with pops of yellow. Locally sourced ingredients took center stage in the cuisine prepared by Mezze Catering and local flowers, including blooms from the property’s gardens, were incorporated into designer Nancy Bishop’s romantic arrangements.
