Post-Wedding Party in DC with Our Patriotic Navy Tent

What do we like almost as much as a tented wedding? A patriotic post-wedding party with our blue star tent in the District of Columbia, that’s what!

This couple got married in D.C. on July 4th weekend – July 2 to be exact – and decided to extend the festivities with a day-after afternoon party on Sunday, July 3. Held at the bride’s family’s home in Easton, Maryland, this party accomplished two goals: celebrating the couple’s nuptials and the nation’s birthday!

The 46′ x 85′ blue star tent setup by Sperry Tents D.C. anchored the picnic-style celebration, planned by Allison Jackson of Pineapple Productions. Kids enjoyed the novelty of star-studded teepees while adults played a variety of lawn games and sipped on beer and rose wine. A canoe filled with ice, beer, and soft drinks was a stroke of design genius by Amaryllis Floral, and finger-licking American fare by Susan Gage Caterers was delicious and right on theme. Other party highlights included a make-your-own Bloody Mary station, live bluegrass music under the tent, picnic areas down by the water for relaxing, packed meals just for kids, s’mores, an ice cream sundae and cone bar, and a professional fireworks display.
