Bright Florals Enliven a Spring Wedding in Orlando
For starters, let’s just say what everyone’s thinking: this wedding’s floral arrangements by Velvet and Twine are just stunning. From the bouquets to the garlands to the centerpieces to even a be-flowered oak tree, the floral designs are vibrant (perfect for offsetting the dusty blue/gray linens and bridesmaid dresses) yet naturalistic, giving the whole wedding reception the feel of a perfectly maintained in-bloom garden.
Held at the Withers Maguire House (which is actually the bride’s great-great-grandparents’ home now turned historic venue, how about that?), just outside Orlando, Florida, in April 2016, the wedding of Ferrell and Allen was designed to be warm and welcoming, particularly for their out-of-town guests from New York, who all enjoyed a much-needed break from the tail-end of a difficult winter. The reception kicked off with down-to-earth details like an oyster shucking station and cocktails enjoyed around the historic home’s porch, and then progressed to plenty of dancing to a 10-piece band from Atlanta.
